Shri Neelkanth Mahadev Temple


Shri Neelkanth Mahadev Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Hindu God lord Shiva, an aspect of Shiv Shankar bholenath. This temple is situated at the normal height of this village. This temple is near to this village, around 1 or 2 kilometres away from village's main RJSH29 highway. 

According to Hindu mythology, the place where the Neelkanth Mahadev Temple currently stands is the sacred location where Lord Shiva consumed the poison that originated from the sea when gods and demons churned the ocean in order to obtain Amrita. This poison that emanated during the churning of the ocean made his throat blue in color. Thus, Lord Shiva is also known as Neelkanth, meaning is blue throated one.
The shikhara of the temple was very old a few years ago. It was adorned with the sculptures of various Dev and Asura depicting the various mudras on it. According to the myths, about 36 crores god and goddess sculptures are believed to be the abode of the deity. The temple complex also has a sessional spring where devotees usually take a holy bath before entering the premises of the surrounded by dense forests.
Maha Shivaratri & Shani Amavasya is the most prominent festival is celebrated in the temple of devotees flock to the temple during the festival. The devotees who pay  a visit to Neelkanth Mahadev make an offerings of Bael Leaves, coconut, flowers, milk, fruits and water to Shiva. 
The temple is one of the most revered holy shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva and is a prominent Hindu pilgrimage site. It is surrounded by dense forests and is adjacent to the mountain ranges of Aravalli Mountain Range. It is enveloped between the valley of Aravalli Hills, is located at the confluence of the river Mez at Jhali Ji ka Barana.

About Jain Temple 

The Jain temple of Gendoli is famous all over the world for its beautiful carvings and its antiquity. It is dedicated to Jain Digambara ji. It is counted among the largest and most beautiful Jain temples in Rajastahn(India). 
Inside the temple The Digambara Murti, which remind us of MahabirJi in Rajasthan. 
Pictures of jain god and goddess are engraved on the walls of the Temple built here, which is a classic example in itself. There is also a temple of Keshorai Ji(Lord Krishna).
